Activities with the aim of teaching what the process of professional growth is all about, inspiring students to practice and be exposed to different examples from the workplace. Students are also provided with tools that will help them to use their talents more and feel happier at work. For example, work is done on ways to apply our day-to-day work to improve our motivation and well-being in the organisation.
JOB CRAFTING ACTIVITY: How to maximise our talent to feel happier at work
How satisfied am I with my work? Could I use my talent more? How could I do more... of what makes me happiest?
The happiest people in organisations have one thing in common: they manage to find ways to make the most of their skills, strengths, or talents in the workplace. Often throughout a good part of the working day. At other times by performing more specific tasks. But either way, they feel satisfied when they use their talent and can have a positive impact on their surroundings.
And how is this achieved? The sessions include discussions around a new concept that helps us adapt our work. It is called 'Job Crafting' and could be defined as the process of redesigning our workplace to attach greater meaning to our work. In other words, "It's the process that helps me do more of what makes me happiest."
Run by Dr Joaquín Viñas, Alumnus of Company Management and Administration and a Coach in Happiness at Work, the course offers training programmes designed to improve the well-being and performance of people within organisations and impact their motivation, loyalty and productivity.
