Orientation sessions and activities
The University offers different resources and tools for all alumni who graduated five years ago or less. These include:
- Individual orientation sessions
- Group orientation sessions
- Professional improvement activities
- Competence test
The University offers individual orientation services run by the UAB Employment Service to foster job placement.
At these orientation sessions, you will be able to identify where you are in your career and receive support with labour transition. Work is done on aspects such as the curriculum vitae (CV) and preparing for job interviews, among others.
To apply for a session, please do as follows:
- Register for NEXUS
- Take the competence test
- Apply for a session at: orientacio.professional.so@uab.cat
The University offers group orientation services run by the UAB Employment Service to foster job placement.
These include topics such as professional opportunities in the sector, personal branding, writing a CV, job search channels, job search planning and job interviews, among others. All activities are taught by experts in the field.
Additionally, thanks to a partnership with Barcelona Activa, free online sessions are also offered (via Microsoft Teams). You need to register for Barcelona Activa at this link. You must then open the specific links to register for each session, where you need to enter the code MIDA_UAB. You will then receive links to join the meetings on Microsoft Teams.

As part of the Collaboration Agreement between the UAB and Barcelona Activa, you can take the competence test to self-assess the skills in which you excel and those that you need to develop depending on the professional goals that you set.
