Necessary documentation

The documents that must be submitted together with the application must be official and, where appropriate, duly legalized and accompanied by an official translation into Spanish):

Baccalaureate*

  • Proof of payment of the fee
  • Certified photocopy of the identity document (NIF/Passport/NIE/other document). You do not have to provide a photocopy of your NIF (personal tax ID) if you consent to the verification of identity data through the Data Verification System established in Royal Decree 522/2006, of 28 April, in which case this must be expressly indicated.
  • Where applicable, the original letter from the interested party authorising a representative to act on their behalf, together with the document proving the identity of the representative (NIF/Passport/NIE/other document). You do not have to provide a photocopy of the NIF (Personal tax ID) if the representative consents to the verification of identity data through the Data Verification System established in Royal Decree 522/2006, of 28 April, in which case this must be expressly indicated.
  • Verified copy of the official degree or diploma for which recognition is requested or, where appropriate, official certification accrediting the having passed the corresponding final exams.
  • Verified copy of the certificate accrediting the courses taken, stating the subjects taken, the grades obtained and the academic years in which the respective courses were taken.
  • When previous studies to foreigners have been carried out in accordance with the Spanish educational system, certified photocopy of the official academic certificate accrediting these, or of the schooling book or grade book and/or academic history.

* We recommend consulting the specific requirements of each country, as they may vary depending on the origin of the degree previously studied.

Vocational training

  • Proof of payment of fee.
  • Proof of identity (NIF/Passport/NIE/other document). You do not have to provide your NIF or NIE if you give consent for the verification of identity data through the Data Verification System established in Royal Decree 522/2006, of April 28, in which case this must be expressly indicated.
  • Where applicable, the original letter from the interested party authorising the representative to act on their behalf, together with the document proving the identity of the representative (NIF/Passport/NIE/other document). It will not be necessary to provide proof of identity (NIF/Passport/NIE/other document) if the representative gives consent for the verification of identity data through the Data Verification System established in Royal Decree 522/2006, of April 28, in which case he must expressly indicate it.
  • Specification of the Spanish vocational training qualification regulated by this Ministry in force on the date of your application, requesting the recognition/validation of your studies. More information on the website of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training can be found in the Todofp catalogue (in Spanish)
  • Official degree or diploma or, where appropriate, official certificate accrediting having passed the corresponding terminal exams after legalisation and translation where appropriate.
  • Official document, issued by the official educational authorities of the country where the studies were carried out proving that the degree/diploma obtained constitutes an academic degree or diploma from the educational system of that country, indicating the level of studies that corresponds to this educational system, the level of general studies required to start these professional studies completed and which subsequent studies give access to them.
  • Official certificate accrediting foreign studies stating the official duration of the curriculum followed, subjects studied, as well as the academic years in which they were passed. If the time load of the subjects is expressed in weekly, monthly, credits, etc., equivalences must be indicated, in order to know the total hours completed, after legalisation and translation where appropriate.

Additional documentation recommended

  • Certification accrediting pre-professional internships. It does not require legalisation.
  • Certification accrediting complementary training directly related to the training to be approved. It does not require legalisation.
  • Certificates of work experience directly related to the studies to be homologated, indicating the duration of the contract and description of the functions performed. It does not require legalisation.

Important: In addition, the investigating body may require all the documents it considers necessary for the accreditation of equivalence between foreign studies completed and the Spanish degree or studies with which the recognised or validation is sought, completed programmes, foreign language training (when required as a professional competence specific to the degree to be recognised).
