Make an application to validate your foreign non-university degree. Start the process.
1. If your study is equivalent to a higher vocational training cycle:
In the application form, in the section "Recognition/validation data", indicate the name of the foreign studies you want recognised, and the country and year of completion. In the drop-down menu "Studies you want recognised*", if you have studied a higher vocational training cycle that you want recognised in Spain, you must select "Higher Vocational Training Technician Cycles (CFGS LOE or LOGSE, as appropriate)".
2. If your course is equivalent to an intermediate vocational training cycle:
It indicates "Vocational Training technician qualification LOE or LOGSE, as appropriate)".
To check whether the study in Spain is LOE or LOGSE, enter the file for each cycle, which you will find in the "Professional families" section.
If you are a resident of Catalonia with a university academic background from a foreign university, you have a University Recognition Support Service.
Through this procedure, you can request the recognition of higher education degrees granted by foreign institutions to official Spanish university Bachelor's or Master's degrees that give access to a regulated profession in Spain
The recognition of a foreign degree as equivalent or comparable to a Spanish degree, which allows access to a regulated profession, entails the possibility of exercising the profession under the same conditions as holders of Spanish degrees. In case of not being able to request recognition of the degree, you must request equivalence to the academic level.
What does the declaration of equivalence to the academic level of the degree consist of?
The declaration of equivalence grants the foreign degree, throughout national territory, the same effects corresponding to the academic level as the degrees that are included in the specific area and field of training to which the equivalence has been declared (excluding professional effects with respect to those degrees that can be obtained by recognition).
