Exhibition: "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come"
Description:
The Faculties of Science and Biosciences, the School of Engineering and the Library of Science and Technology (BCT), with the support of the Observatory for Equality, organise the exhibition "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come", which can be visited from 9 February to 10 March in the displays of the BCT and the general hall. Associated with the exhibition, which was created by the BCT, are other activities such as a colloquium, a bibliographic exhibiion, a debate and lecture on Scikus with gender perspective, a session on the Hypatia MArs project, and a self-defense workshop.

Science Carriage: let's talk about obesity and stigma
Description:
Lecturer David Sánchez will be in the Science Carriage expert's seet this week on the train travelling from Barcelona to the UAB and leaving from Plaça Catalunya at 11:28 a.m. Sánchez, lecturer in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology and director of the Reseearch Group in Health and Weight-Related Problems, will be talking with passengers about obesity and eating disorders, and the associated stigma.

Workshop on reducing risk of diseases with Antoni Narbona
Description:
Antoni Narbona, graduate in physiotherapy and nursing, will be the guide to the “Taller per aprendre a viure” [Learning How to Live Workshop] which will take place for free on 29 February at 6:30 p.m. at the Auditorium of the Mestre Martí Tauler Library in Rubí. The session aims to give tips on how to keep healthy and learn to live better by reducing the risk of diseases caused by bad posture, lack of sleep, bad eating habits and other types of bad habits. The workshop will combine a theoretical part with a practical one. The presentation of Antoni ANrbona's new book will also take place, entitled Fet a mà: L’ofici de fer-se a si mateix (La Banya Edicions), a book that is closely related to the workshop he offers.

Presentation of the hotel industry digitalisation and competences report
Description:
The IMANcorp FOUNDATION and the UAB present the report on the hotel sector's digitalisation competences, entitled "Digitalització, canvis en les ocupacions i noves competències al sector hoteler a Espanya" in an event which will take place on 29 February at 6:30 p.m. at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Barcelona.
