Exhibition: "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come"
Description:
The Faculties of Science and Biosciences, the School of Engineering and the Library of Science and Technology (BCT), with the support of the Observatory for Equality, organise the exhibition "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come", which can be visited from 9 February to 10 March in the displays of the BCT and the general hall. Associated with the exhibition, which was created by the BCT, are other activities such as a colloquium, a bibliographic exhibiion, a debate and lecture on Scikus with gender perspective, a session on the Hypatia MArs project, and a self-defense workshop.

José Ignacio Conde-Ruiz offers a conference entitled "La juventud atracada"
Description:
José Ignacio Conde-Ruiz, professor in the fundamentals of economic analysis at the Complutense University of Madrid and deputy director of the Studies in Applied Economics Foundation (FEDEA) will give a lecture on 20 February entitled "La juventud atracada" as part of the annual conference series held by the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies. Conde-Ruiz will present his work on how society, politics and economics have affected the well-being and prosperity of younger generations in recent decades. The event will take place at 12:30 p.m at the faculty's conference hall.

Colloquium on the women scientists and engineers to come
Description:
Artificial intelligence and the opportunities it provides to involve women under equal conditions is the main focus of this colloquium which will include the participation of Alexandra Gómez Villa, PhD student in Computer Vision at the CVC; Júlia Laguna, graduate in Mathematics and Physics and winner of one of the Wonnow grants from LaCaixa and Microsoft to women in STEM fields; and Patricia Ayma, president and director of Technology at VEnvirotech Biotechnology.
The colloquium forms part of the activities being conducted for the International Day of Womena and Girls in Science at the UAB and as a complementary activity of the exhibition entitled "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come”.
