Open Education Week 2024
Description:
The Open Education Week 2024 is an annual and global initiative aimed at raising awareness of the social advantages of implementing open access resources and practices. This year the event will be held from 6 to 10 March.
The UAB Library Services has prepared an activity on 4 March in which university-led open education projects will be presented to research members and graduate students. Three lecturers from different UAB departments will present three projects that have in common their commitment to classroom innovation and open education. The event will be held online via Teams and the projects to be presented are: From the Classroom to the Playing Board: generating shared knowledge through the PhyloGenome project; Tahina-Can Expedition: travel as an educational tool, and finally, Open Education Resources (REO) created with the Playful Learning methodology. Certificates of attendance will be given when the activity ends. those interested in participating must register here before 29 February.

Screening of the flim "Xtrems" by Abel Folk and Joan Riedweg
Description:
Within the film cycle: “Rewrites: practices of narrative appropriation”.
A film based on real facts that shows the experiences of individuals with alcohol addictions and drugs.

Mariachiara Giorda and Víctor Albert Blanco to talk about the "spatial turn in religious studies"

The next seminar of the research group Research in Sociology of Religion (ISOR-UAB) will take place on 5 February at 12 noon at the Centre Cívic Pati Llimona in Barcelona. The session is entitled "Spatial Turn in Religious Studies" and will include two conference speakers: Mariachiara Giorda (Università Roma 3) will speak on "Exploring the Plural City of Rome" and Víctor Albert Blanco (ISOR-UAB) will offer a conference on "Rethinking the Religion-Gentrification Nexus".

'La primera i les mestres de la República', a play that pays tribute to the teachers of the Republic
Description:
The feminist, emotional and shocking staging of "La Primera i les mestres de la República" by Nan Valentí and David Pintó is a tribute to the teachers of the Republic who broke barriers and taught their students to think instead of just storing information.
Free entrance limited to the capacity of the theatre hall.

"Neuma", a flute quartet concert
Description:
The "Neuma" group of chamber music, made up of four women: Anna Pujol, Raquel Díaz, Alejandra Villalonos and Estela Córcole, will present different musical pieces in the Theatre Hall of the UAB.
Free entrance limited to the capacity of the theatre hall. To attend the performance, it is recommended to book tickets in advance on this form.
