Migrations studies: interculturality and intersectionality
Description:
As part of the online series on dialogues between Brazil and Spain, entitled “Diàlegs Brasil-Espanya entorn la comunicació: Interculturalitat, canvi climàtic i pràctica periodística”, the dialogue on migration studies “Estudi de les migracions: interculturalitat i interseccionalitat” will be held on 11 April and will include the participation of Liliane Dutra Brignol (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria) and Amparo Huertas (UAB). The meeting will serve to talk about the difficulties of introducing the notion of identity into methodological designs.
The series is an initiative conducted under the framework of the Capes/Print Programme (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria-Brasil) and launched by the UNESCO Chair in Communication of the UAB Institute of Communication. The objective is to foster cooperation and scientific dissemination through an exchange of experiences. These conference series are structured into thematic blocks. Each session will include research teams from both countries who will talk about their experiences.

Tàndem is a programme of activities where you will meet Catalan speakers and others from all over the world, where you will share conversations and games, all speaking different languages.
Thursday's group is composed of the following languages: German, Italian, English and French.

Screening of the documentary `La controversia de Valladolid. El amanecer de los Derechos Humanos¿
Description:
Within the Impact! festival, Film and Human Rights Festival of Catalonia.
The documentary tells the story of what is considered the first debate in history about human rights. Based in 1550, in Valladolid, fray Bartolomé de las Casas and Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda, advisor to Charles V, discuss where the rights of Spanish colonizers end, and where those of the colonized, the Native Americans, begin.

Presentation of the game "A 10 torns del col·lapse"
Description:
The School for a Culture of Peace of the UAB is co-organising a presentation on April 12, the day of the launch of a new board game "A 10 torns del col·lapse", a teaching resource for secondary school science teachers and primary school teachers who want to encourage critical reflection on the use of energy and its socio-environmental implications. The presentation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Faculty of Education, and will consist of two parts: a first one to learn about the board game and play, and a second one to delve deeper into these topics based on the conclusions of the game. Free registration.
