Exhibition: "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come"
Description:
The Faculties of Science and Biosciences, the School of Engineering and the Library of Science and Technology (BCT), with the support of the Observatory for Equality, organise the exhibition "Women Scientists and Engineers to Come", which can be visited from 9 February to 10 March in the displays of the BCT and the general hall. Associated with the exhibition, which was created by the BCT, are other activities such as a colloquium, a bibliographic exhibiion, a debate and lecture on Scikus with gender perspective, a session on the Hypatia MArs project, and a self-defense workshop.

Science Carriage: let's talk about fibromyalgia
Description:
Joan Deus, researcher in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the UAB, will be sitting in the expert's seat of the Science Carriage to talk with passengers on fibromyalgia and chronic pain and its effects on a person's mental health. He will be doing so on the train travelling from the Universitat Autònoma at 10:42 a.m. in direction Plaça Catalunya and on the journey back to the UAB, which leaves at 11:28 a.m. from Plaça Catalunya.

"Indian" and Republican. A life in the Americas with origins in the background

The presentation of the book Indià i republicà. Una vida a les Amèriques amb els orígens de fons (Pagès Editors) by author Conxita Mir, researcher at the Research Group on Dictatorships and Democracies (CEDID-UAB), will take place on 7 March at the Memorial Democràtic headquarters. Jordi Font Agulló, director of the Memorial Democràtic; Borja de Riquer, emeritus professor of Modern History at the UAB, and Conxita Mir, author of the book, will participate in the presentation.
