Regulation framework of Franco's repression: the rights and jurists of Franco
Description:
The seminar El marc normatiu de la repressió franquista: el dret i els juristes de Franco, organised by the Research Group in Dictatorships and Democracies at the UAB (GReDD), will be given by Marc Carrillo, emeritus professor in constitutional law at the UPF. The seminar will be presented and moderated by Manel Risques, professor in modern history at the UB and memner of the Centre for Dictatorship and Democracies Studies (CEDID). Entrance is free and no prior registration is required. The event will also be streamed live here.

Climate change and crisis communication in media coverage
Description:
This conference forms part of the online series entitled “Diàlegs Brasil-Espanya entorn la comunicació: Interculturalitat, canvi climàtic i pràctica periodística”. The series is an initiative conducted under the framework of the Capes/Print Programme (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria-Brasil) and launched by the UNESCO Chair in Communication of the UAB Institute of Communication. The objective is to foster cooperation and scientific dissemination through the exchange of experiences. These conference series are structured into thematic blocks. Each session will include research teams from both countries who will talk about their experiences.
On 18 Aplril the dialogue on the media coverage of climate change and crisis communication: “Canvis climàtics i comunicació de crisi en la cobertura periodística” will take place with the participation of Márcia Franz Amaral (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria) and Carlos Lozano Ascencio (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos). This meeting will discuss the communication of risks and catastrophes, particularly in relation to the climate change.
