Conference on "The production of non-fiction content for platforms and TV" with Jordi Évole
Description:
Alumni Jordi Évole will explain the case of his production company, Producciones Del Barrio, in the conference "The production of non-fiction content for platforms and TV". Together with Ramon Lara, co-founder of the production company, they will explain the difficulties and processes to submit projects to Netflix, Movistar+, Disney+, etc. and work on them until they are broadcast.
The event will also present the new postgraduate course that the Faculty and Producciones Del Barrio will offer starting next year at the production company's facilities in Esplugues de Llobregat. Professor Carles Llorens will also participate, who will make a brief presentation on the situation of the non-fiction production sector for platforms. At the end of the presentation there will be a Q&A session for undergraduate and graduate students of the faculty. The event will end at 1:30 p. m. after a closing speech by Faculty Dean Enric Marín.

Talk by UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories
Description:
Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, will give a talk via streaming next Wednesday 10 April at 12 noon, for several higher education institutions grouped within the University Network for Palestine. The broadcast can be followed in the conference hall of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. Albanese will speak on the current situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip from the point of view of international law.

Seminar on "Disciplinary crossroads: between the history of science and environmental history"
Description:
On 11 and 12 April, the seminar "Disciplinary crossroads: between the history of science and environmental history" will take place in the iHC building (Institute of History of Science at the UAB), organised by the doctoral students Max Bautista (UCLouvain), Carolina Granado (iHC-UAB) and Héctor Isern (iHC-UAB). The seminar features both local and international researchers in environmental history and history of science to facilitate academic dialogue in cycles of talks with a focus on elucidating plausible relationships and intersections between disciplinary fields. Key points of discussion will include temporality, geographic scale, thematic concerns and methodological approaches, with a special emphasis on addressing environmental activism in contemporary ecosocial crises.

Migrations studies: interculturality and intersectionality
Description:
As part of the online series on dialogues between Brazil and Spain, entitled “Diàlegs Brasil-Espanya entorn la comunicació: Interculturalitat, canvi climàtic i pràctica periodística”, the dialogue on migration studies “Estudi de les migracions: interculturalitat i interseccionalitat” will be held on 11 April and will include the participation of Liliane Dutra Brignol (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria) and Amparo Huertas (UAB). The meeting will serve to talk about the difficulties of introducing the notion of identity into methodological designs.
The series is an initiative conducted under the framework of the Capes/Print Programme (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria-Brasil) and launched by the UNESCO Chair in Communication of the UAB Institute of Communication. The objective is to foster cooperation and scientific dissemination through an exchange of experiences. These conference series are structured into thematic blocks. Each session will include research teams from both countries who will talk about their experiences.
