Neolithic Park of La Draga

The La Draga Neolithic Park is located in the same place as the ancient lacustrine village, in an area free of any archaeological remains. It includes an oval granary and two rectangular cabins, one built at ground level and the other elevated, which aim to reproduce at natural scale the archaeological models found at this ancient Neolithic site of Cardial culture, unique in the Iberian Peninsula. The park offers workshops and activities which reproduce day-to-day life in the Neolithic era.

The park also includes a reception area, an education room and an archery tunnel. It has received funding from the Banyoles City Council and the Provincial Council of Girona. Educational and tourist activities are carried out by the company Arqueolític, located in Banyoles.
