"Challenging a Time of Disasters: Arts and Social Sciences" [Biennal Ciutat i Ciència 2021]

How can art and social sciences help us to survive, resist and challenge a time marked by increasingly frequent and diverse disasters, pandemics and catastrophes? In this roundtable we will share reflections on the importance of thinking and intervening the very notion of disaster or pandemic, making visible historical, social and cultural dimensions often neglected. We will also discuss the role of art and social sciences in highlighting, making visible and representing other often forgotten damages and escalations of violence.
