The iHC received the "Friend of the Libraries Award" granted unanimously by the Friends of the UAB and the UAB Library Service, "for its significant contribution to the academic field and its work in the creation and maintenance of the history of science collection, as well as its efforts to promote its study within the university community. Furthermore, the Institute has been essential in transferring knowledge to the public, contributing to the dissemination and preservation of scientific heritage."

This award was collected last night by Dr. Xavier Roqué, Full Professor at UAB, member of the iHC, and former exdirector of the iHC, during the ninth edition of the annual event of the Friends of the UAB association, held every year at the Casa de Convalescència in Barcelona, at the Modernist Site of Sant Pau.

Beatrice Doudu hosted the ceremony, where Dr. Elena Galea (INc), Dr. Salvador Barberà (Economics), Dr. Maite Martín (Veterinary Science), Football Club Barcelona, and journalist Mònica Terribas were also awarded.

If you couldn't attend, you can watch the full ceremony here (iHC Award from minute 34).
