Credit recognition through non-formal learning and work experience
Credit recognition through non-formal learning and work experience
Credit recognition through non-official learning and work experience can be achieved through credits obtained from university courses leading to the obtainment of non-official qualifications, as well as accredited professional work experience linked to the degree programme. Professional activities can be recognised if the following requisites are met:
- A favourable report from the tutor, or if there is no tutor, from the degree coordinators.
- Evaluation of the accreditation from the company that describes the tasks undertaken, a copy of the employment record of the interested party and a justification report in which the competences achieved through professional activity are provided.
- Additional evaluation when requested by the tutor, or if there is no tutor, from the degree coordinators.
The number of credits that can be recognised for these activities cannot be higher than 15% of the total number of credits in the host institution’s syllabus. Likewise, up to the total numbers of credits passed in a formerly existing university-specific degree programme if they are recognised in the official degree programme that substitutes it, as long as they are included in the degree programme report of the host institution.
