Cervella't 2024 Conferences
Description:
The Institut de Neurociències (INc) and the UAB CORE in Mental Health once again organise the conference series Cervella’t, in commemoration of Brain Awareness Week. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the research conducted in neuroscience and mental health. The conferences will be given by experts collaborating with the UAB.
Attendance is free, but those interested in attending must sign up here.

On 12 March the Aula Magna of the UAB Faculty of Law will play host to the round table on "Rights and Mental Health", an activity forming part of the UAB's 2023/24 institutional slogan "Mental Health at Stake. Let's Win the Match".

Cryptocurrencies: what are bitcoins and how do they work
Description:
The AmicsUAB Association organises a conference as part of the Universitat Opina series entitled “Cryptocurrencies: what are bitcoins and how do they work?” which will be offered by Jordi Herrera, with a BSc in Mathematics by the UAB and a PhD by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and lecturer of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at the UAB. The event will take place at the Mestre Martí Tauler Library in Rubí on 12 March at 6:00 p.m.
The objective of this conference is to bring the audience closer to the new world of cryptocurrencies, explaining how they function, their advantages and disadvantages for users, the origin of these digital coins and the differences between this money system and traditional ones.
