Agro-urban lab: i-RTG integrated rooftop greenhouse

There are two agro-urban labs integrated within the building to develop food production models (mainly beans, lettuce, and tomatoes). Each lab of 120 m2 is monitored with more than 70 online sensors (Campbell) with 4 data-loggers collecting the data (temperature, relative humidity, TDR-based soil water content sensors, PAR radiation, solar radiation, pyranometer, wind sensors, soil humidity).
The irrigation, from our rainwater harvesting system, is hydroponic and supplies a mix of water and nutrients to plants through drippers delivering 2 L of solution·h-1. There are two independent irrigation systems that allow for combinations with 6 sectors of crops in each lab.
