Policy, Objectives, and Quality Indicators
The Faculty of Sciences (FC) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), is the center responsible for organizing the teachings and academic, administrative and management processes of the studies aimed at obtaining official or own university bachelor's and postgraduate degrees in the field of science and technology that have been assigned to us by the competent bodies of the UAB, as well as ensuring the highest quality of the training of the university students of the Faculty.
The Faculty of Sciences, aligned with the UAB Strategic Plan and its Statutes, assumes a Quality Policy and commitment to excellence oriented at:
- Bookmarks: Establish mechanisms for monitoring the opinion of lobbyists, for meeting their expectations in an environment of freedom, respect and personal progress. To fulfil the expectations of students in an environment of freedom, respect and personal progress and to prepare with full guarantees for entry into the labour market. Respect and tolerance for ideas and people.
- Quality of training programs: To ensure the quality of training programmes, through specific procedures for verification, monitoring, modification and evaluation. Commitment to service society from the generation, dissemination and transmission of knowledge. To offer innovative undergraduate and graduate training for students, which responds to society's scientific training demands.
- Quality culture: To disseminate the quality culture among the University Community of the Faculty. To disseminate the results obtained in an objective and transparent manner.
- Continuous improvement: Safeguarding through teamwork, maintenance and continued improvement of SGIQ. Optimize process management, remove bureaucracy
- Organization and Resource Management: To improve the quality of teaching and research staff, administration and services, as well as the material resources necessary for the proper development of learning. To ensure transparent, participatory and autonomous governance models, by decision-making in line with the plurality of the Faculty. Social, economic and environmental sustainability. Rigor and professionalism. Attention to the quality of the service and attention received by the student and to the scientific and academic level of their teacher.
