IQAS process documents

The VSMA Framework links the verification, monitoring, modification and accreditation processes of the quality of official degrees in Catalonia, with the following purposes:

• Ensure a continuous evaluation of the functioning of the teachings.
• Promoting the culture of quality and accounting performance.
• To support university leaders in building the strategic vision of teachings.
• To help strengthen the transparency, leadership and social recognition of the university.

The VSMA framework gives a structured and integrated view of the four quality assurance processes that will follow throughout the life cycle of teachings.

• Verification: prior evaluation (ex ante) of a new degree that constitutes the first stage of the life cycle of a degree.
• Follow-up: Annual analysis of the development of the implementation of a degree.
• Modification: incorporation of improvements resulting from the monitoring of the degree.
• Accreditation: evaluation of the quality of a degree that allows the renewal of the authorisation of the teaching of the degree.
