Jaume Vicens Vives Award

The Government of Catalonia has awarded the Jaume Vicens Vives 2018 Award in the group cateogry to the UAB Archaeology and Palaeontology Campus for its academic quality. 

The distinction highlights the important tasks under way in the fields of research, teaching and dissemination of the archaeology and palaeontology conducted in Catalonia. It is an academic experience which makes use of and integrates the know-how of research projects from the deparments of Prehistory, Antiquity and Middle Age Studies, Geology, and Animal Biology, Plant Biology and Ecology, into practical sessions in archaeology, palaeontology and biology amongst research students enrolled in the various master's degrees and PhD programmes.
