The first to showcase their work from this academic year will be the UAB Stable Theatre Group, directed by Ricard Gázquez. With the play Between Us, Everything’s Fine, by Dorota Maslowska, the UAB Scene. To close the season, the UAB Orchestra and the UAB Choir will perform their traditional Spring Concert.

The Stable Theatre Group will open the performance series on 29 and 30 April at 6:30 p.m. This renowned university theatre group, directed by Ricard Gázquez, will stage Between Us, Everything’s Fine, a work by Polish author Dorota Masłowska. This is one of her most representative works, known for its intensity and emphasis on language.
Then, on 15 May at 3:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m., the play On the Phenomenon of Bullshit Jobs, by Joan Yago, will be performed by the Level 1 Theatre Interpretation students under the direction of Màrcia Cisteró. The piece explores absurd and unconventional situations found in various jobs that the author considers “bullshit jobs.”
Continuing the program, on 28 May at 6:00 p.m. and 29 May at 1:00 p.m., the Level 2 Theatre Interpretation Group will perform The Paparazzi or Chronicle of a Death Foretold, by Matéi Visniec, a playwright known for his poetic and surreal style. With eight actors, the piece will create a unique and suggestive atmosphere in which the characters face a dramatic situation with comedic undertones, directed by Professor Arnau Vidal.
On 12 May, audiences can enjoy dance performances from both levels of the UAB Culture dance groups. The Contemporary Dance Group Level 1 will perform Anem, a piece about moving forward despite adversity. Director Mario G. Sáez explains: “We keep moving forward despite the difficulties, and we grow as we dance with them. We keep creating a new way to communicate, letting our imagination capture your gaze. We move ahead, losing our fears and wandering, inventing a new reality. Shall we go? Let’s go!”
Meanwhile, the Contemporary Dance Group Level 2, directed by Laia Santanach, will close their showcase with Ten to Ten, a new creation featuring ten personalities, ten perspectives, embarking on a journey that ends at its starting point from a different viewpoint. Santanach describes the piece as: “In many doctrines, ten is a sacred number, symbolizing the perfection of the manifested universe, the culmination of a journey. Ten represents perfection, achievement, transformation, the end of a cycle, and the beginning of a new one.”
Finally, the UAB Orchestra and Choir will give their traditional Spring Concert on 2 June. To celebrate the changing season, they will perform pieces such as Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 and Pelléas et Mélisande by Gabriel Fauré.
