UAB-CIE Biomedical Innovation Forum

UAB-CIE Biomedical Innovation Forum took place on 11th November at the Taulí Nou Auditorium of the Parc Taulí health and university corporation in Sabadell. The meeting aims to communicate the processes in innovation in the biomedical sector succeeding in institutes surrounding the UAB.

Attendants were able to discuss the opportunity in innovation in biomedical fields, and to reflect on the effects this process has on reactivating the economy and creating workplaces.

It served as a boost to the R&D&I aggregation process taking place to strengthen collaborations between basic research centres at UAB and affiliated university hospital research institutes. In order to make an optimal use of the clinical and translational research of the UAB surroundings, and under the framework of the Campus of International Excellence, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona proposes a variety of joint research projects, strives for constant transfer of knowledge and technology, and the creation of innovation-based businesses, with the aim of being an internationally leading university.
