Mobility Grants 2024 - Research stays
ICTA-UAB, through its Maria de Maeztu (MdM) program, is welcoming applications for Mobility grants 2024 - RESEARCH STAYS that will take place before the end of August 2024.
Application deadline: Sunday, March 31st , 23:45 CET.
RESEARCH STAYS
Eligible applicants: PhD students or post-doctoral fellows having ICTA-UAB as primary affiliation.
Eligible costs: Travel costs for a research stay held outside Spain. Travel plans should be arranged through one of the official travel agencies of the UAB (see attached GUIDELINES for TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS)
Requirements
- Acceptance letter of the host institution (indicating the start/finish dates and the purpose);
- Applicant’s preferred travel means, considering ICTA-UAB’s Responsible Travel Strategy, with tentative travel budget;
- Document signed by the applicant and her/his supervisor/group leader indicating: a) How does the objective of the research stay contribute to ICTA-UAB’s strategic research programme? (max. 150 words); b) How does the host institution contribute to enhance ICTA-UAB’s internationalization, particularly from the applicant’s research group perspective? The applicant should highlight, for example, if this is the first time that an ICTA-UAB researcher goes to the hosting organization (max. 150 words); c) The applicant’s research main funding source and the correspondent grant number, such as PhD grant (e.g., FI-2021-XXXX or FPI-2020-XXXX), Post-doctoral grant (e.g., BdP-2022-XXX), JdC-2022-XXXX); Research project (ERC-CoG-2020-XXXX), etc.

Selection
Applications will be prioritized based on:
- contribution of the research activities to the ICTA-UAB’s strategic programme;
- expected outputs resulting from the research stay (e.g. a new dataset, an article, a book chapter)
- contribution to ICTA-UAB’s internationalization (e.g., establishing new networks or collaborations with new countries);
- commitment to engage in sustainable forms of travel.
