Next January 24 at 12:00, Esteban Muñoz's presentation will take place "Competing for Donations: The Role of Tax Deductibility in the U.S. Charitable Sector” in the Degree Hall
Muñoz Sobrado is a candidate at the Toulouse School of Economics. His research focuses on the intersection of behavioral and public economics. In particular, it studies the role of social preferences in taxation and how competition between pro-social actors can affect the decentralized provision of public goods. His wider interests include contract theory and its applications.

Science Carriage: let's talk about individual differences in dealing with stress
Description:
Lecturers Roser Nadal, Silvia Fuentes and Bernat Soler will occupy the expert's seat in this week's Science Carriage, which makes the journey from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, departing at 10:42 am to Plaça Catalunya. You will also find them on the return journey from Plaça Catalunya, departing at 12:28 p.m. until arriving at the university.
Nadal and Fuentes, who hold degrees in Psychology and are lecturers in the Department of Psychobiology and Methodology of Health Sciences, together with Soler, lecturer in the Department of Physics at the UAB, will talk to train passengers about individual differences when confronted with stress.

Presentation Jon Mikel
Description:
On January 31, the presentation of Jon Mikel Zabala-Iturriagagoitia (Deusto Business School) will take place in the Seminar Department.
His research combines qualitative and quantitative methods. He has participated in several regional, national and international projects. He has also worked closely with different universities, research centres and other social actors.
As a result, he has published more than 60 scientific articles in the most prestigious journals related to innovation, as well as 15 book chapters, having also published two books. His research has received numerous awards and awards, having had a strong political impact. He has worked with supranational organisations such as the European Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the World Bank. Due to the impact of his research, he has been appointed a member of the Advisory Council of Science, Technology and Innovation (CACTI) of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the COTEC Foundation for Innovation in Spain, the Basque Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters (Jakiunde) and the Working Group on Principles of Innovation Policy of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations.
