These funds, coming from the Menkes International Association, will allow a research project to search for new biomarkers to establish administration and monitoring protocols for a new drug that could improve the lives of children suffering from this rare disease. The project is led by Mercè Capdevila, professor in the Department of Chemistry at the UAB.
The UAB and the Cerdanyola del Vallès City Council, with the collaboration and support of the University of Barcelona and Applus+ Laboratories, organise for 18 December the 2022 Solidarity Race and Walk to help raise funds for the yearly fundraiser La Marató de TV3, which this year focuses on cardiovasculara health. The UAB Social Council organises the third edition of the UAB Games, which will take place from 21 to 25 November in different areas of the campus. The main activities held for the Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week will take place on Thursday 10 November, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Several entities from the SiS Space on campus will hold activities to inform and raise awareness on sustainable and safe mobility among members of the university community, and several other activities will focus on electric vehicles, raffles, and bike repair workshops.
