Getting your UAB email address, ID number (NIU) and password

So as to comply with the Law on Data Protection, the procedure for accessing the digital services of the UAB (email, intranet, campus virtual, etc.) is personal: i.e. users are responsible for obtaining their own NIU and password.

This can be done by visiting the page Managing passwords (https://oim.uab.es/opwd/?lang=en), which is also linked to from the Serveis d’Intranet page (http://sia.uab.cat).

The first step in the form is to indicate our nest, later we will have to validate the captcha and click "Send".

In the second step, we will be asked to indicate our alternative email address (remember that this cannot be an @uab.cat address).

At this point it will ask us to indicate our alternative personal email address.

If the address we entered is correct, it will show us a new window to enter the rest of the data.

At this point we will need to access our personal mail from a new tab, without closing the password change.

We will have received a message from "Suport Gestió Identitat UAB", which tells us our NIU and the OTP key that we will also have to use to generate the new password.

Once we have the OTP Code, it will be necessary to inform it in the form to obtain the password, together with the other requested data (we will have to make sure that it is correctly indicated, without any space before or after).

If we have completed the form correctly, when you click on the "Send" button.

At this point we recommend waiting 2 to 5 minutes in order for the password to synchronize correctly with all UAB services and to prevent any errors.
