Photographer Lucas Vallecillos, author of the exhibition "Climatic Emergency: Un Repte Social Inevitable", presents and explains his works, which offer a deep look at the climate emergency in Spain, with a particular focus on Catalonia.
The exhibition is a unique opportunity better to understand the climate emergency that is affecting everyday life and the future of the planet, and to discover how to contribute to a sustainable and just solution.

Climate change and crisis communication in media coverage
Description:
This conference forms part of the online series entitled “Diàlegs Brasil-Espanya entorn la comunicació: Interculturalitat, canvi climàtic i pràctica periodística”. The series is an initiative conducted under the framework of the Capes/Print Programme (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria-Brasil) and launched by the UNESCO Chair in Communication of the UAB Institute of Communication. The objective is to foster cooperation and scientific dissemination through the exchange of experiences. These conference series are structured into thematic blocks. Each session will include research teams from both countries who will talk about their experiences.
On 18 Aplril the dialogue on the media coverage of climate change and crisis communication: “Canvis climàtics i comunicació de crisi en la cobertura periodística” will take place with the participation of Márcia Franz Amaral (Universidade Federal de Santa Maria) and Carlos Lozano Ascencio (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos). This meeting will discuss the communication of risks and catastrophes, particularly in relation to the climate change.

Second part of the "Learning to Live Better" workshop with Antoni Narbona

The AmicsUAB Association organises the second part of the "Learning to Live Better" workshop directed by Antoni Narbona, graduate in Physiotherapy and Nursing. The workshop will take place at the Mestre Martí Tauler Library in Rubí at 6:30 p.m. The session aims to help the audience learn to live better and reduce the risk of diseases. Antoni Narbona is author of a new book entitled Fet a mà: L’ofici de fer-se a si mateix (La Banya Edicions), a book that goes hand-in-hand with the workshop he will be offering.
