TOUCH Info Day
Description:
TOUCH is a new MSCA-COFUND doctoral programme led by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) for the recruitment and training of 24 doctoral researchers in the field of mental health and wellbeing. The first call opens from 1 April to 30 June offering 13 doctoral positions.
On 30 April 2024, the TOUCH Programme will host its Info Day, a virtual event tailored for potential doctoral candidates. The session aims to showcase the diverse opportunities within the TOUCH doctoral programme, offering in-depth information about the first call for applications. The 2-hour event kicks off at 10:00 h CEST and comprises two parts. Firstly, a comprehensive presentation about the programme will be delivered by its Project Manager, followed by an interactive second part where prospective applicants can pose their questions.
For added convenience, questions can also be submitted in advance through the registration form.

Miren Agur Meabe and Eduardo Moga in conversation at the UAB, at Sala Cinema
Description:
Around the celebration of Sant Jordi and within the Literaldia festival, Miren Agur Meabe, Basque writer, translator and academic, and Eduardo Moga, poet, translator and literary critic, will talk about their poetics.
With the aim of making known the existence of the Basque studies of the UAB, they will offer a recital of poems and a conversation about literary translation.

The Grup Estable of the Aula de Teatre of the UAB presents 'La sala d'espera', a play by Àngel Guimerà
Description:
The stable group of the UAB's Aula de Teatre present Àngel Guimerà's theatre play 'La sala d’espera: comèdia en un acte i prosa', which will be performed on 29 and 30 April at the UAB Theatre Hall.
With a simple argument and a farce tone, the work includes some of the author’s characteristic themes: the highland and the lowland, the countryside and the city, passion love, ambition and deception. A funny comic to rediscover the most popular Guimerà.

The play will also be performed on 22 and 24 May at the III Biennal de Teatre of the Xarxa Vives Network of Universities.

Professional Orientation Activities: Exploring professional research channels and self-candidates
Description:
The Employment Service of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities offers training activities within the field of Anthropology. These sessions are open to UAB students and alumni. The objective is for participants to reinforce their skills and help them face the challenges of the professional world. The activities will take place each Thursday until 16 May at the faculty.
On Thursday 2 May the activity "Explorem els canals de recerca de feina i autocandidatura" will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Aula 201 of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. Registration is free through NEXUS.
