European Parliament 2024 Simulation
Description:
The second edition of the European Parliament Simulationwill take place on 29 April at the conference hall of the UAB Faculty of Political Science and Sociology and in other spaces (consult programme). This project aims to focus on innovation and improvements in teaching quality and is conducted in collaboration with the European Documentation Centre and includes the support of the Office of Information of the European Parliament in Barcelona. The activity is addressed to students enrolled in the subject EU Institutions and Politics which has been funded as a UAB teaching innovation project and also by the European Parliament, which will be in charge of offering attendants food and drinks during the coffee break. Some 150 people are expected to participate in the activity.
Those interested in taking part in the simulation have until 10 April to fill out this form. Participants will be able to see what role they have been assigned on the Campus Virtual on 15 April.

Screening of the classic film "La Dolce Vita" by Federico Fellini
Description:
Within the film cycle: “Rewrites: practices of narrative appropriation”.
The film, which is considered one of the best Italian films of all times, tells the story of journalist Marcello Rubini, who seeks to get a great news of the famous Sylvia who has just arrived in Rome.

Celebration of International Dance Day
Description:
The UAB Aula de Dansa offers a street performance in the Plaça Cívica to commemorate and share International Dance Day with all of the community.
The programme is made up of 3 choreographies, two performaces by UAB groups and a third performance by a professional duet:
- "Henko" under the direction of Mario G. Sáez, will be performed by the modern dance initiation group.
- "Jo no busco, ho trobo", directed by Laia Santanach, will be performed by members of the intermediate group.
- "COSSOC" is created, directed and will be performed by Anamaria Klajnšček and Magí Serra

The Grup Estable of the Aula de Teatre of the UAB presents 'La sala d'espera', a play by Àngel Guimerà
Description:
The stable group of the UAB's Aula de Teatre present Àngel Guimerà's theatre play 'La sala d’espera: comèdia en un acte i prosa', which will be performed on 29 and 30 April at the UAB Theatre Hall.
With a simple argument and a farce tone, the work includes some of the author’s characteristic themes: the highland and the lowland, the countryside and the city, passion love, ambition and deception. A funny comic to rediscover the most popular Guimerà.

TOUCH Info Day
Description:
TOUCH is a new MSCA-COFUND doctoral programme led by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) for the recruitment and training of 24 doctoral researchers in the field of mental health and wellbeing. The first call opens from 1 April to 30 June offering 13 doctoral positions.
On 30 April 2024, the TOUCH Programme will host its Info Day, a virtual event tailored for potential doctoral candidates. The session aims to showcase the diverse opportunities within the TOUCH doctoral programme, offering in-depth information about the first call for applications. The 2-hour event kicks off at 10:00 h CEST and comprises two parts. Firstly, a comprehensive presentation about the programme will be delivered by its Project Manager, followed by an interactive second part where prospective applicants can pose their questions.
For added convenience, questions can also be submitted in advance through the registration form.

Miren Agur Meabe and Eduardo Moga in conversation at the UAB, at Sala Cinema
Description:
Around the celebration of Sant Jordi and within the Literaldia festival, Miren Agur Meabe, Basque writer, translator and academic, and Eduardo Moga, poet, translator and literary critic, will talk about their poetics.
With the aim of making known the existence of the Basque studies of the UAB, they will offer a recital of poems and a conversation about literary translation.
