Seminar on "Disciplinary crossroads: between the history of science and environmental history"
Description:
On 11 and 12 April, the seminar "Disciplinary crossroads: between the history of science and environmental history" will take place in the iHC building (Institute of History of Science at the UAB), organised by the doctoral students Max Bautista (UCLouvain), Carolina Granado (iHC-UAB) and Héctor Isern (iHC-UAB). The seminar features both local and international researchers in environmental history and history of science to facilitate academic dialogue in cycles of talks with a focus on elucidating plausible relationships and intersections between disciplinary fields. Key points of discussion will include temporality, geographic scale, thematic concerns and methodological approaches, with a special emphasis on addressing environmental activism in contemporary ecosocial crises.

Presentation of the game "A 10 torns del col·lapse"
Description:
The School for a Culture of Peace of the UAB is co-organising a presentation on April 12, the day of the launch of a new board game "A 10 torns del col·lapse", a teaching resource for secondary school science teachers and primary school teachers who want to encourage critical reflection on the use of energy and its socio-environmental implications. The presentation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Faculty of Education, and will consist of two parts: a first one to learn about the board game and play, and a second one to delve deeper into these topics based on the conclusions of the game. Free registration.

Screening of the remake "Psycho" by Gus Van Sant
Description:
Within the film cycle: “Rewrites: practices of narrative appropriation”.
"Psycho" is the remake of Hitchcock's 1960 classic film "Pyscho". It tells the story of Marion Crane, who after fleeing from a robbery ends up in a roadside motel with Norman Bates, the secretary of the motel who lives there.
