The RIVUS Observatory collects 12 endangered species from the Besòs and Tordera basins in an informative material

The Iberian river crab, the eel, the alder or the pond turtle, in addition to the otter, are some of the outstanding species. This material is now available on the RIVUS Foundation website.

The RIVUS Foundation, through the RIVUS Observatory with the team of researchers from the different monitoring lines, has designed and edited a poster and a leaflet dedicated to the biodiversity of the Besòs and Tordera basins, where they are collected. 12 unique and endangered species from both basins.

Each of them offers information on its main characteristics, its indicator value, the habitats they occupy, the distribution in the two basins and their degree of threat in Catalonia and internationally.

This material, together with others being prepared by the Foundation, aims to highlight the biodiversity of our rivers and raise awareness of their value for conservation. It is also part of the Observatory's Environmental Education, Communication and Training Program ( PROECA ), which aims to carry out activities to transfer knowledge and disseminate the results obtained by the project to the public.
