Jordina Belmonte, researcher from ICTA-UAB and the Department of Animal Biology, Plant Biology and Ecology (BABVE) of the UAB, has been elected as the new president of the Catalan Institution of Natural History (ICHN).
The General Assembly renewed the positions of its Board of Directors in a session held on October 30. Jordina Belmonte, who replaces Joan Pino in office, thanked the partners for their confidence and pledged to work to grow the institution, both in terms of memberships and scientific results.
Jordina Belmonte is the second woman president in the institution’s last 118 years of history.
