Ana Beatriz Pierri Daunt, new representative in the IALE-Europe Executive Committee
ICTA-UAB researcher Ana Beatriz Pierri Daunt has been selected as new member of the executive committee of the European Association for Landscape Ecology - IALE-Europe.
In its action plan 2022-2025, the Executive Committee explicitly stressed the importance of including younger landscape ecologists in an early-career stage in the management of the organisation.
Among the large number of candidates interested in joining, the executive committee selected Ana Beatriz Pierri Daunt as the additional representative and to launch a Working Group for Early-career landscape ecologists.
Ana Betriz Pierro Daunt is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at ICTA-UAB and a guest scientist at Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL. She is interested in understanding the role of the public policies and institutions to foster land use change and socioeconomic transformations.
Other three other candidates were invited to get engaged in the new Working Group for Early-career landscape ecologists with a specific focus on activities for young landscape ecologists. The working group was launched this week, at the World Congress IALE2023 in Kenia.
