Workshop: "Fostering Nature-Based Solutions in Urban Water Systems"

ICTA-UAB will organise the participatory workshop Fostering Nature-Based Solutions in Urban Water Systems: Empowering Just, Sustainable, and Resilient Urban Transformations will be held at ICTA-UAB. This event is part of the NICHES project (Nature’s Integration in Cities’ Hydrologies, Ecologies, and Societies), which aims to promote nature-based solutions to improve water management systems in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area.

The workshop builds upon the discussions initiated in the previous event titled International Symposium on Nature-Based Solutions in Urban Water Systems held on March 6, 2023. During that event, the current state of water management and desired future scenarios for the region were discussed.

In the upcoming November workshop, the results from the previous event will be presented, including evaluations of the water management system. Additionally, the discussions will focus on the political, social, technological, and ecological innovations needed to advance toward more sustainable and resilient water management.
