We are glad to invite you to the Winter Symposium 2024, which will take place on the 12th of December 2024 at ICTA-UAB (Z-022/Z-023). The event is a great opportunity to give visibility to the scientific results of some scientific projects launched within the María de Maeztu Programme.
The event is open to all members of the ICTA-UAB community, and it will be followed by our traditional Christmas party.

09:30-10:30 – ICTA-UAB Quiz on People’s Research
10:30-11:30 – Implementation the Culture Manifesto: Voices and Experiences from ICTA-UAB Researchers
11:30-12:00 – Coffee break
12:00-13:00 – Conducting Research outside the University: Possibilities for Alternative Pathways. Roundtable with Minerva Campos (AMB), Ignasi Puig (ENT), Mireia Banqué (CREAF), and Júlia Martí (ODG).
13:00-14:00 – Keynote Talks: How do nature records talk about our past, present and future as humans?
- Kate Dudgeon, ICTA-UAB. Pre-Colombian landscape transformations and agricultural innovation in the Bolivian Amazon.
- Sandra Nogué, CREAF. Island TIME-LINES to quantify biodiversity change.
14:00-17:00 – Christmas lunch & party
