Digitization of the collection of pianola rolls of the National Library of Spain

The BNE scrolls digitization project has been led by a team of musicologists from the Department of Art and Musicology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, attending to aspects as diverse as preservation, software engineering or the restoration of the original supports. The collection consists of almost 7,000 copies, of which more than 1,600 can be consulted from the Hispanic Digital Library portal, a space from where the user can listen to the audio of the digitized work as well as see the image of the physical roll included on its cover.
