IRE-UAB coordinates the Thematic Network in Healthy Dual Careers in Spanish sport #HEDUCA(R)
The Sports Psychology Study Group (GEPE) will coordinate the scientific network funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and integrated by 11 researchers from 10 Spanish organizations.
#HEDUCA(R) consolidates the project “Promotion of Dual Careers in Sports (#HEDUCA; RTI2018-095468-B-I00)” and continues at national level the European projects participated by GEPE-UAB and CAR Sant Cugat.
The general objective of the Thematic Network on Healthy Dual Careers in Spanish Sports is to define a global strategy for preventing athletes’ mental health through the promotion of dual careers, understood as the trajectory that athletes must develop to be able to balance sport and education.
To achieve this, a consortium formed by research centres linked to the project “Promotion of Dual Careers in Sports (#HEDUCA; RTI2018-095468-B-I00)” as well as other related entities and research groups, will work together to:

- Review and update the presence of Dual Career training content in current degrees in the field of sports sciences.
- Review the presence of policies and programs to promote Dual Career in public and private Spanish sports organizations.
- Prepare a general report on Dual Career in Spanish sport.
The members of the network involved in responding to these objectives are:
- Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB): Yago Ramis, network coordinator, and Miquel Torregrossa
- High Performance Center Sant Cugat (CAR): Susana Regüela
