GEPE research group GEPE invites Dr. Koen de Brant to give a research seminar on the dual career of athletes
The UAB Study Group on Psychology of Physical Activity and Sport (GEPE) organised the research seminar "A holistic approach to managing the transition of athletes to a dual career" elite sport and training ". The seminar took place on February 10, 2020 and PhD and postgraduate students participated.
The seminar was given by Dr. Koen de Brant, postdoctoral researcher and professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), and coordinator of the Topsport & Studie (Elite Sport & Study) department, providing academic, logistical, performance and style support life to student-athletes to help them optimize their chances of a successful dual career.
The Group for the Study of Psychology of Physical Activity and Sport (GEPE) (2017 SGR 751) was created in 1996 and has its origins in the research projects on advising coaches that Professor Jaume Cruz started in the 1980s. Subsequently It was coordinated by Dr. Miquel Torregrossa. It is currently coordinated by Dra. Maria Carmen Viladrich.
