Update and enhancenment of the International Access Information

Nova pàgina web sobre l'accés internacional dels estudiants

International students can now access information more quickly and easily, following the steps to enroll in a Spanish university. The pages, available in three languages, outline the requirements, documents, and deadlines needed to pursue Bachelor's Degrees, Higher Vocational Training Qualification (CFGS), Official Master's Degrees, and continuing education at FUAB schools.

Prospective students of the FUAB Formació Shcool and the FUAB Vocational Training Centre can now consult the new web pages with all the steps to follow, requirements, documents, and deadlines to pursue Bachelor's Degrees, Higher Vocational Training Qualifications (CFGS), Official Master's Degrees, courses, specialisations or continuing education Master’s Degrees.

The update and enhancenment of the existing content on the website, along with the new and more comprehensive menu structure, were jointly developed by FUAB's Academic Management and Promotion and Communication teams. The web pages have become an even more accessible and clear tool for students interested in enrolling in a Spanish university and take one of our programs.

Specific Information for Each Profile

The new structure of the information includes two general access blocks: one for Spanish national students and another for international students. This way, the information is organised and detailed based on their origin. In addition to this different distribution, each block contains specific information corresponding to the different access routes according to each student's profile and the type of studies previously completed. The pages have also been structured depending on the language: the English portal exclusively compiles international access information, while the Spanish pages include both national and international access.

Translation and Legalisation of Foreign Documents

Prospective students can easily consult the necessary requirements for translating their official documents, considering the language in which they were issued. Additionally, this is common information, appearing on each web page dedicated to the different types of FUAB programmes—Bachelor's Degrees, CFGS, Official Master's Degrees, and Continuing Education. It explains the legalisation procedure to validate the authenticity of foreign qualifications and academic certificates since the need for document legalisation differs depending on the country of origin.

International Access to Undergraduate Studies

Each access is linked to its corresponding study area. There is Tourism and Hotel Management and also Prevention and Integral Security.

The information for international students is organised according to the origin of their previous studies, whether it is a high school diploma from the European Union or a country with a bilateral agreement, an international high school from outside the European Union, students with a university degree, or students with an unfinished university degree. Each section, personalised according to the student's origin, gives details of the requirements, documents, and steps to follow to access university pre-enrollment.

Access to Vocational Training Programs

For international students interested in studying a Higher Vocational Training Qualification (CFGS), the international access section of the website has been updated with all the necessary information to start new studies at the UAB Vocational Training Center. To access CFGS, the homologation of foreign studies is essential, and the website explains how to do it.

The procedure to follow, though, will vary depending on the international student's residence: whether they live abroad, in Spain, or specifically in Catalonia, the Basque Country, or Galicia—the three exceptional cases with regulations that differ from the rest of the Spanish Autonomous Communities. The section for Spanish students explains what they need to do to enroll, how to process pre-enrollment, and how to book a place.

Access to Master's Degrees

To access an Official Master's programme, students must visit the master's access section for international students, where information on access requirements and mandatory documents for admission is provided. A page has also been created to explain the steps to follow to apply for pre-enrollment once the required documents are available. Subsequently, it explains how to proceed within the selection process, how admission to the master's program is communicated, and how to formalise pre-registration.

Access to Continuing Education

The updated international access section for master's programs or continuing education specialisation diplomas firstly presents the necessary access requirements for both qualifications obtained within the European Union and those obtained outside the European Union. It then explains how to apply for admission and which are the steps to follow once the admission notification is received, including the pre-registration payment through a secure platform. For additional information, we also provide the contact of the UAB International Support Service.
