Agreement with China's Zhejiang Police College

On 9 December, Prevention and Integral Safety and Security from Escola FUAB Formació formalised an agreement with a Chinese delegation from the Zhejiang Police College.

Prevention and Integral Safety and Security and the Zhejiang Police College have signed an agreement to promote the exchange of personnel, academic and scientific research between the two institutions.

The Zhejiang Police College is located in the city of Hangzhou, capital city of the Zhejiang province. It is the highest-level police training institute at the provincial level. As a training centre, it specialises in public security and the education of future police agents, offering a specific degree in this field.

The visiting delegation was led by Chancellor Jin Cheng, accompanied by three professors who are also active public security professionals.

From FUAB, Montserrat Iglesias, Director of Prevention and Integral Safety and Security at Escola FUAB Formació, and Maria Espadalé, Executive Vice President of Fundació UAB, officially welcomed the visiting Chinese Delegation.

The meeting was also attended by César Torrero, coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree programme, and Xavier Dorado, coordinator for internships and international relations, both from Prevention and Integral Safety and Security. Also attending were Cristina Manresa, Chief Commissioner of the Police School of Catalonia; Emili Martínez, Superintendent of Mossos d'Esquadra and Head of External Relations and International Collaboration at the Police School of Catalonia; and Miquel Àngel Garcia, Head of the General Commissariat for Information and Communication Technologies.

Maria Espadalé, Executive Vice President of Fundació UAB, and Jin Cheng, Chancellor of the Zhejiang Police Academy.

 

The formalised agreement includes the following points:

  1. Mutual visits of representatives or executives: Annually, leaders or authorised representatives from both institutions will be able to visit each other.
  2. Exchange of professors: Each year, both schools will be able to send professors for lectures and conferences at the other institution.
  3. Exchange of students: Students may be selected to study at the other institution with full credit recognition.
  4. Exchange in different academic topics: Participation in academic programmes and international conferences organised by the other institution.
