(*) Alternative subjects for students from other communities or countries.
(**) Translation A-A is compulsory for students who, on registering, have lived for 4 years or more in a region where Catalan is an official language, and for those who have attended school for at least 6 years in Catalonia (even if at the time of registration they have lived fewer than 4 years in a region where Catalan is an official language).
Catalan Language 2 is compulsory for students who, on registering, have lived for fewer than 4 years in a region where Catalan is an official language, and for those who have not attended school for at least 6 years in Catalonia.
Optional subjects
Students have to take 36 ECTS from among the optional subjects offered in the Translation and Interpreting BA degree. Some subjects are offered every other year.
The subjects offered in the BA are all those included in the specialisations and also the following:

Students who wish to opt for a specialisation can take one of the especialisations which are offered in the Translation and Interpreting BA degree.
To qualify for a especialisation, students have to take a minimum of 30 credits from the specialisation they choose.
