Knowledge

  • Identify the scientific and technological basis of the main areas of Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Geology and Engineering involved in environmental issues.
  • Identify the basic principles of social sciences (Geography, Economics, politics, Sociology, Law, Education and Communication) that are involved in environmental issues.
  • Identify the main contemporary challenges in environmental science.
  • Recognise the impact human activity and behaviour has on the environment, particularly the climate.
  • Compare the scientific basis of the Earth system (hydrology, oceanography, climatology, ecology, edaphology, pollution, etc.) based on an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Compare the different strategies for analysis and synthesis related to the environmental implications of rural and industrial and urban management processes.
  • Recognise the techniques and tools necessary to incorporate scientific, social, technological and economic aspects of the environment into the development of specific projects.
  • Identify the main concepts and technologies related to land management, primary resources and waste.
