Nou CFGS en Comerç Internacional en Anglès

The Department of Education of the Catalan Government has authorised Fundació UAB to teach the first Higher Vocational Training Qualification (HVTQ) entirely in English. It is the only programme of its kind offered by an entity dependent on a public university in Spain.

Based on the experience of teaching programmes in English language and the increasing incorporation of students from different nations, Fundació UAB has set out to provide its HVTQ studies with an international dimension.

This new official Higher Vocational Training Qualification has the same curriculum and the same characteristics that have made the HVTQ in International Trade at the Fundació UAB unique: high academic quality with university standards, solid training in commercial Chinese, official certification in English and French, small group lectures, individual tutoring, specialised teachers with relevant professional experience, and the outstanding Forma’t al Port professional training programme. The only difference with the original HVTQ is the main teaching language, English in this case, with Catalan as a second language.

The training is aimed at international students interested in coming to the UAB to continue their education in the field of international trade, the export and import of goods and logistics, in order to become qualified professionals with official certification earned through a leading university in Europe.

"It is a very good opportunity for foreign students who, at the moment, do not plan to study a university degree but want to study with high quality teaching standards and with a good future perspective," says the director of the Fundació UAB Vocational Training Center, Mérida Iglesias. "For the first time, we are responding to a need that was not met. We are thinking about all the young talent that seeks to train professionally and live the experience of internationalisation. In just two years, students will obtain an official degree as Higher Technicians in a strategic field such as international trade, living the Barcelona experience in a university environment ".
