Last November 2023, the FUAB Formació School received a visit from an External Evaluation Committee (EEC) as part of the accreditation process of its programs, specifically for the Master's Degree in Didactics of Chinese for Spanish Speakers.

Later, in March, the school received visits from two External Evaluation Committees (EECs), which in this case assessed the Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, the Master's Degree in Hotel Business Management, the Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage Tourism Management, and the Master's Degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems.

Following these external visits and according to the report prepared by the EEC, AQU Catalunya issues the accreditation reports for university programs to ensure that the degrees are being developed adequately. All official university programs offered by non-institutionally accredited centers must go through this process within six years of their initial verification or last accreditation to remain part of the educational offer.

The Specific Committee of Arts and Humanities of the Institutional and Program Evaluation Commission of AQU Catalunya evaluated the documentation associated with the accreditation process of the Master's Degree in Didactics of Chinese for Spanish Speakers, issuing a favorable report in March.

The report highlights progress toward excellence, particularly the alignment of the teaching staff with the educational program. It also emphasizes the strengths and best practices of the program, such as the excellent work of the program coordinator, the balance between theoretical and practical instructors, and the individualized attention given to students.

The Specific Committee of Social Sciences of the Institutional and Program Evaluation Commission (CAIP) of AQU Catalunya also evaluated the documentation related to the accreditation process of the Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, the Master's Degree in Hotel Business Management, and the Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage Tourism Management, which are taught at the FUAB Formació School of the UAB, and issued a favorable report in March for all three programs.

For the Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, the report highlights the relevance of the dual education received by students, with mandatory internships in the 2nd and 3rd years, optional ones in the 4th year, and the possibility of extracurricular internships as well.

For these tourism-related degrees, the report emphasizes the excellent support provided to students and graduates throughout their studies, highlighting personalized tutoring.

These reports certify the high level and quality of the evaluated educational programs.

AQU Catalunya submits the accreditation reports to the Council of Universities, which is responsible for resolving the accreditation process. At the same time, it publishes the accreditation results and issues the corresponding accreditation seal and certificate, available on EUC Estudis, a web portal that provides information on the quality of official university degrees in Catalonia.

The center is still awaiting the report on the Master's Degree in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems.
