Reserve Collection
Mainly housed in the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives, the Reserve Collection encompasses a unique assortment of antique documents covering a wide range of topics, published between the 16th and 20th centuries.
Some of the key sections include:
- History of Law Reserve Collection. A collection of legal documents published between 1560 and 1817, primarily acquired by the Department of Public Law and Legal History Studies.
- Marca Magazine Collection and Monés Magazine Collection. Periodicals focusing on art and literature, mainly Catalan, published between the late 19th century and the Spanish Civil War.
- Marca Booklets. Catalogues from exhibitions and books on Catalan art.
- Valera Collection. A constructed collection of books belonging to the writer Juan Valera.
- Martí Gelabertó's Collection of Antique Maps Collection of antique maps, mainly from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The documents in the Reserve Collection are not available for open access but can be requested via the Search Engine.
