Databases
A resource from McGraw Hill specialising in Health Sciences that contains full-text electronic books in Spanish. It features over 137 titles in Medicine and Health Sciences across 41 specialties. It includes videos of medical procedures, a database of medical cases, diagnostic tools, drug interactions, dosage calculators, X-rays, and more.
Access Medicina also includes the manual Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, with daily updates of its content.
A database focused on evidence-based medicine. It collects systematic reviews based on controlled clinical trials and effectiveness summaries.
International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10)
A reference tool in Catalonia for coding causes of death. Until December 31, 2017, it was also used for diseases and health-related issues addressed in most primary care centres, emergency services, and occupational health, among others.
Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences (IBECS)
A database containing references to articles from over 200 scientific-health journals published in Spain. It includes publications on pharmacy, psychology, dentistry, nursing, and various branches of medicine such as public health, epidemiology, pediatrics, otorhinolaryngology, endocrinology, nutrition, and rheumatology.
A bibliographic database that includes resources for evidence-based clinical practice, such as general descriptions and recommendations, precise search results, graphics and images, specialised content, expert reviewers, and more.
A search engine for biomedical literature, including life sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering, among others, known as Medline when distributed by providers. PubMed is a free resource developed and maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Health & Medical Collection (Proquest)
A biomedical database containing around 3,000 journal titles, mostly with electronic full-text access. Many of the indexed articles are available in different languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.
LWW Health Library Basic Sciences
A digital platform for medical students offering full-text titles, over 6,000 questions, 130 videos, and more than 340 clinical cases to aid learning and preparation for clinical practice.
A database with over 58,000 laboratory protocols in biomedicine and life sciences. Both researchers and students can find the appropriate protocol for their laboratory setup.
ClinicalKey Student is an interactive training platform for students and instructors, featuring thematic blocks "ClinicalKey Student Medicine" and "ClinicalKey Student Nursing." It contains over 200 reference books covering 40 medical specialties and more than 60,000 images.

Significant both for its content and additional services: bibliometrics, author and affiliation identification. Scopus is the world’s largest peer-reviewed abstract and citation database, updated daily. It contains information in 40 languages, with strong non-Anglophone coverage (6,900 European journals, with over 50% of titles from Europe, South America, and Asia-Pacific).
Web of Science (WoS)
A predominantly Anglophone portal managed by Clarivate Analytics, offering access to a set of multidisciplinary bibliographic and bibliometric databases. Enables thematic searches as well as cited works and/or authors, and provides bibliometric indicators (citation counts, h-index, journal impact factor, etc.).

Portal to the CSIC databases, this is a multidisciplinary bibliographic resource compiling and disseminating primarily research articles published in Spanish scientific journals, replacing "Bases de datos CSIC: ICYT, IME, ISOC.”
OpenGrey: system for information on grey literature in Europe
Compiled by the Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique, it contains bibliographic citations of grey literature generated in Europe, including science, technology, biomedicine, economics, social sciences, and humanities. Includes technical or research reports, doctoral theses, conference proceedings, official publications, and other types of grey literature. Open access.
