Lynx Collection

Lynx Edicions is a publishing house specialising in ornithology and nature books. It is well-known for the Handbook of the Birds of the World and the Handbook of the Mammals of the World. Lynx publishes a diverse range of nature titles, including encyclopaedias, checklists, field guides, and monographs.

Lynx Edicions has donated its library to UAB, comprising over 5,000 volumes, primarily focused on birds, but also covering groups such as mammals, amphibians, and reptiles.

This collection, referred to as the Fons Lynx, will be available for consultation as cataloguing tasks are completed. It is one of the most significant ornithological collections in Europe.

The portion that is already available is housed in the special collections room of the Science and Technology Library.
