Espai BCT

The Espai BCT is located at the entrance of the Science and Technology Library and, like the rest of the library, serves the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Biosciences and the School of Engineering, as well as the rest of the university community.

The Espai BCT, located at the Science and Technology Library of the UAB, offers a space for informal learning, a leisure area with games, a rest zone, and an exhibition area.

This space consists of several areas with different functions:

• Space for informal and active learning, with furniture suitable for sharing knowledge and working in groups or individually.
• Leisure area with games that foster the intellectual development of users.
• Rest and relaxation area to encourage socialising and relaxing breaks.
• Exhibition areas: areas designed to deepen the knowledge on topics of scientific interest or topical issues. It is also a good place to discover the library's collections or to echo activities carried out by research groups and centres affiliated with the library.
• Information and loan counter.

Purpose

The Espai BCT is flexible enough to allow for different uses within the framework of academic, teaching, research, transfer and library activities.

Activities

Teaching innovation activities, workshops, active learning, cultural events, conferences, presentations, etc., aimed at the university community.

The space can be used during library opening hours.
