Minor in East Asian Studies
Objectives
The Minor in East Asian Studies aims to provide cross-curricular, multi-purpose training in different areas of the social sciences and the humanities related to East Asia.
East Asia is a region of growing importance in the world. Knowledge of specific topics related to the region can be useful for the academic and professional future of students of any degree.
Student profile
The minor is aimed at students of any Bachelor's Degree at the UAB (except those taking the Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies) who wish to complement their regular courses with selected subjects from the Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies, which focus on the region from an interdisciplinary, analytic and critical perspective.No previous knowledge of the minor's subject areas is required, except for modern Chinese and Japanese: depending on the subject chosen, level A1, A2 or B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Timetable
Ten places are offered each year.
