2024 Solstice festival of the AmicsUAB association
Description:
The AmicsUAB assocation will be celebrating its 2024 Solstice Festival at its headquarters, Torre Vila-Puig, on 20 June. Photos and texts dedicated to the Torre Vila-Puig building will be on display, and the UAB Chamber Choir and the jazz combo “El musical” from Bellaterra will be performing. There will also be various gifts raffled out among the attendants. UAB Rector Javier Lafuente, county authorities, members of the association, UAB personnel and members of the Vila Puig family will be attending.

Premiere of the play «The dead are deficited and the women are stripped»
Description:
By the performance group of the Taller de Teatre for the over 50s and under the direction of Marta Sorribas, the work based on the piece by Dario Fo, is a scathing and humorous criticism of society.
The story takes place in a theatrical tailoring where corpses and extravagant characters appear.
Free entrance limited to the capacity of the room.

Welcoming session for the first round of the UAB Summer School
Description:
Vice-rector for International Relations and Language Policy, Laura Santamaria, will welcome the 300 students of 58 nationalities who will participate in the first round of the UAB Summer School, which will take place from 25 June to 12 July.
The first round, which lasts three weeks, includes 13 subjects from different areas such as economics, biology, neuroscience, etc. and almost all will be offered in English.
In addition to classes, students will be able to enjoy a full programme of cultural and sports activities.

Love songs at the closing ceremony of the Universitat a l'Abast programme
Description:
Mariona Sagarra, composer, singer and disseminator, will offer a conference with music entitled "Love songs: the great theme! Word, music, feeling" at the closing ceremony of the 2023/24 academic year of the Universitat a l'Abast programme, offered by the UAB Graduate School. The event will take place on 25 June at 5 p.m., at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and will begin with a welcoming speech by UAB Rector Javier Lafuente, and the academic coordinator of the Universitat a l'Abast programme, Xavier Verge. At the end, an aperitif will be offered to the attendees. To attend, it is recommended to fill out the form available on the Universitat a l'Abast website.
